Lava Claw has orange claw marks on a black felt face, with an orange grip. Its imported felt face is specified in our schedule as a low-noise surface, over a second-generation PP honeycomb core, hot-pressed on the JS005 mold. It is aimed at quieter play and noise-sensitive venues.
Lava Claw is 16 mm thick, with an imported felt face (specified in our schedule as a low-noise surface) over a PP honeycomb core from the second generation of our honeycomb range. It is hot-pressed: the face, resin and core are cured together under heat and pressure in a mould, which is the build we recommend for advanced and performance-led ranges.
It uses an elongated outline of 417 × 192 mm (16.42 × 7.56 in) with a 145 mm (5.71 in) handle and a 110 mm grip circumference. A handle of 145 mm leaves room for a two-handed backhand.
Read how cores compare in our paddle core guide, and see the mold and outline options on the specification checklist.
Packaging and accessories are chosen per order from our accessories and packaging options and fixed in the quotation.
We print your artwork on the felt face and can change the edge guard, grip and packaging. The core, the 16 mm thickness and the JS005 mold stay as listed unless you approve a structural revision on a new sample. For a full brand programme, see private label paddles and custom paddle development.
Record the approved values in your order, following our sampling and approval steps.
Yes, on the listed dimensions. USA Pickleball allows a maximum length of 17 in and a combined length and width of 24 in. The listed outline is 16.42 in long and 23.98 in combined, 0.02 in under the limit. Size is only one rule; approval for sanctioned play is a separate listing, explained on our paddle certification page.
The felt is specified as a low-noise surface. We offer it for brands targeting quieter play. Measure sound on your sample if noise is part of your claim; we do not publish a decibel figure.
Same felt face, core and JS005 mold. Lava Claw is black with orange claw marks; Blush Butterfly is pink with a white butterfly.
