Full foam core or foam around honeycomb?

A full foam core fills the paddle body with foam. Many paddles instead keep a PP honeycomb center and add foam around the perimeter. Both are sold as foam paddles, so we name the core structure on every product page. Ask which material sits in the center, at the edge and in the handle.

The foam cores we build

• Cellular EPP foam with 12 mm cells: WindBreaker, MoonSlayer, Necrostar (14 mm).
• GearOne one-piece EPP foam: Dragon Trace, Silverwing (16 mm).
• GearBridge EPP foam: Dragon Shade (16 mm) and Bloom (14 mm).
• ShieldFoam and EPP shield foam: Aquora, Vactor (16 mm).
• MPP shield and MPP shield bridge cores: Jade, Domin, Solunaris Sol and Luna (16 mm).
• AeriFoam PMI/EVA foam: Razor Blue (73 kg/m³, 225 ± 5 g) and Razor Pink (50 kg/m³, 215 ± 5 g).
• Integrated cellular EPP foam: Aurelis (16 mm hot-press).
• Grooved cores: Strike and Echo-E (EPP) and Echo-P (PVC), all 16 mm hot-press.

Foam terms in plain words

EPP is expanded polypropylene. PMI is polymethacrylimide, a rigid structural foam, here combined with EVA. Density is the foam’s mass per volume; on Razor the denser core is also the heavier paddle. Generation labels such as Gen 2 or Gen 3 are names used in the market, not a measured scale.

Specify the revision you approve

Foam builds evolve. Solunaris, for example, carries a core revision dated 2 July 2026. Record the core material, geometry, density and revision on the approved sample, and use the paddle core sourcing guide to compare options.
